15 Years of the Blushington Way

15 Years of the Blushington Way

Fifteen Years, One Constant

Fifteen years is long enough that almost nothing about a company stays exactly the same. We've moved into new cities, reinvented how we grow, and watched what "getting ready" means evolve for the women who trust us with it. Yet if you ask a longtime guest why she keeps coming back, her answer is almost never about what changed. It's about the one thing that didn't: how she feels when she walks out our door.

Where It Started

On December 10, 2011, sisters Stephi Cohen and Nicki Maron opened the first Blushington in West Hollywood. The idea came from their own frustration. They were trying to get ready for a family celebration and couldn't find anywhere that offered real artistry without an unreasonable price tag or an impersonal counter. So they built the place they wished existed, under a motto that still says everything about us: Feeling Pretty Is Priceless.

Those words have never been about vanity. They're about confidence: the moment you catch your reflection before a big day and think, there I am.

We Kept Growing the Way We Started: By Listening

Every service we added after that first year came from listening to our guests. We launched dry hair styling in partnership with OUAI because guests kept asking where else to take their hair. We launched skincare with BeautyRx, Dr. Neal Schultz's own line, because a beautifully done face deserves skin that has been cared for just as well. Through all of it we stayed deliberately curated. We never stocked every product from every brand. We always edited down to what we genuinely believed in, because we learned early that discovery is a kind of luxury in itself.

What COVID Changed, and What It Didn't

When we closed our doors during the pandemic, we faced a question every founder dreads: what now? We came back by doing something that felt true to who we'd always been. We opened our doors to people who loved Blushington so much that they wanted to bring it home to their own communities.

Some of them first walked into a lounge as guests, sat in our chairs, and left knowing their own city needed a Blushington too. Today they're sharing that same experience with their neighbors, friends and families. That is the most meaningful proof we have that Blushington was never just a business. It's a feeling people want to share.

A lot about how we grow has changed. The reason we exist hasn't: giving people back their time, and a version of themselves they like a little better.

Fifteen Years, One Constant

Through every new city and every new chapter, the heart of a Blushington appointment has stayed the same. A Pro Artist listens before picking up a single tool. The services and products are chosen around what you actually need. And the result feels like you, just a little more finished and a little more confident.

That's what we mean by the Blushington Way. It isn't a tagline. It's a promise we've kept since the very first appointment in 2011. It's in the bride who stopped shaking once her makeup was done, the mom who finally took an hour for herself, and the friends who turned getting ready into the best part of the night.

Fifteen Years In, Still Building

We're celebrating this anniversary not because fifteen is a round number, but because of every person who has sat in our chairs and trusted us with their big moments and their ordinary ones. You are the reason this model works, and the reason we've been able to grow without losing what made you trust us in the first place.

That's what we're celebrating this fall, with deep gratitude. It's also why the next fifteen years matter just as much as the last.

Book your next appointment and experience the standard that has carried Blushington for fifteen years.
