Why Our Expertise Matters: Building Toward the Blushington Method

A press mention here or there is nice. A pattern is something else.

This summer, editors at some of the biggest names in beauty media kept coming back to the same place for the same reason: when they needed a real point of view on technique — not just a product recommendation — they called our Pro Artists.

Where it showed up

  • Elle brought in Blushington expertise for a feature on "ghost lashes," the no-mascara trend defining summer 2026
  • Yahoo Shopping turned to our stylists for insight on how hair changes with age, and what that actually means for how you care for it
  • WWD and Yahoo News Canada both featured Blushington guidance in pieces on eyeliner technique for women over 40
  • Glamour included our expertise in a roundup on the best mascaras for mature lashes
  • Vitamin Rush ran a dedicated piece on the ghost lash trend, again pulling from Blushington's take
  • OK! Magazine folded us into its July/August summer roundup

None of these are product placements. They're technique — the actual how and why behind a look, which is a different kind of credibility than being mentioned as a place to buy something.

Why this is happening now

It's not an accident. Every Pro Artist across our lounges works from a shared foundation — the same sequencing, the same standards, the same eye for what actually works on real faces and real hair, not just editorial ones. That consistency is exactly what makes an artist quotable: when a beauty editor asks a technical question, our team has a real, repeatable answer instead of an opinion made up on the spot.

We're in the process of formalizing that foundation into something we're calling the Blushington Method — a defined, documented approach to how our Pro Artists apply makeup, style hair, and deliver skincare, consistent across every lounge and every artist. It's still being built. But you can already see its outline in the kind of expertise the press keeps coming back for: not trend-chasing, but technique that holds up to an editor's questions.

What's ahead

As the Blushington Method takes shape, expect to see it show up in how we train artists, how we talk about our services, and — if this summer is any indication — in more of the expert-level press coverage that's already finding its way to us. The technique was always there. We're just starting to write it down.
